IGOFax is the union of Apache Web Server, HylaFAX and a backend DB. IGOFax is a Workgroup solution to fax headaches.
IGOFax is an application that takes a HylaFAX processed fax, converts the .tiff image to .jpeg(s), creates a .pdf, stores it all in a database, and presents the results in a Web browser. Users classified as administrators have sufficient privileges to view incoming faxes that have not been assigned to other users. Once assigned, users may relate keywords to each fax, and share faxes with other users. Users may later use the search utility to find a particular fax (or group of faxes) that relate to specified keywords. You should use IGOFax if you have a group of people who share one fax machine, a group of offices that need multiple fax machines, or need to share faxes amongst each other. Since the need to print incoming faxes is greatly reduced, IGOFax can also be implemented as part of a Waste Reduction plan.
IGO has prepared a brochure with more information regarding implementing the IGOFax Server as part of a Resource Conservation and Waste Reduction plan. The brochure is in pdf format.
IGO Linux Solutions has released the IGOFax code on SourceForge.net with a GPL license. You are encouraged to download and use the code, suggest improvements and report bugs.
